iPhone and Build 6801 64 bit

    Hi guys,

I decided to take the step, i formated my Vista system and installed Windows 7 build 6801 64 bit, everything whent okay until I wanted to use my iPhone (

iTunes give the message that some piece of software is missing and that I should remove and reinstall iTune again, of course that didn't work.

I hope anyone here knows a solution to this problem, I would love to stick to Windows 7 :)

    Cheers, Mll

Update: Perhaps I found a (hard) fix already: http://chris123nt.com/?s=iphone

This is a Pre Beta and there will many bugs and fixes that just aren't available at the moment, formatting Vista was not a wise thing to do and I would not rely on this as your main OS, most of us using this beta are dual booting with Vista and I would suggest you do the same.

If you want you can send some Feedback to Microsoft to let them know about the problem so they can decide what measures to take to remedy the problem, after all that is why people are meant to be using this beta.

An apple app doesn't work with a Windows Product. Huh! That's weird. Should get yourself a windows mobile phone :)

I already 'fixed' it, I am back to Vista 64, works just as good as Windows 7 except in my configuration a lot more stable then Windows 7 was! and with iPhone support :)

I agree also...as much as I wanted to keep Windows 7 X64 as my main OS, I knew it would be a matter of time before I saw BSOD(yesterday)

So, until then, Vista X64 is my preferred OS.

Hello mll7, welcome to Seven forums!

As others have advised; it's not recommended to have only this (pre beta) build of Windows 7 as your only installed OS; have a look at this news article, at the link below.

I tried a few Bluetooth enabled phones. All work well.
