Yep, you are right. The Samsung 840 Pro 256GB is currently about 30% off! Amazon.com: Samsung Electronics 840 Pro Series 2.5-Inch 256 GB SATA 6GB/s Solid State Drive MZ-7PD256BW: Computers & Accessories

That's a good price for that SSD. Just don't fall for the 30% off. Thy use inflated prices that no one has ever paid. I own 3 of them but never paid even close to $270 and don't know anyone who did/would. Another sales gimmick they all use. Reality is it may be 5% off the normal price which I believe is about $204, give or take $10
NewEgg is more notorious for inflating prices to make a sale price look better than Amazon is.
Let's not even mention the later again. It's makes me feel like I am about to get ripped off just thinking about it!
Why do you think I used the word FleaBay? I've ordered three times from there, had one order get screwed up by FleaBay itself (the idiots deleted part of my address and the package was returned) but I never got ripped off by them. I did start getting spammed to death for a while because of their security breach but that is settling down. right now, I'm doing battle with the idiots over my new mailing address. I was able to update the shipping address without any trouble but I can't update the registration address because it keeps rejecting my phone number. I've called them twice about it. The first time, I finally hung up after talking to one airhead that just didn't "get it" for over half an hour. The second call resulted in a promise for their tech people to clear my database entry so I could then correct it; that didn't happen. The third call I'm going to make is to tell them I'm not doing any more business with them until THEY fix it.
I warned you not to get me started.
I never pay attention to a percentage off unless it's some promotion taking X% off prices, even then one has to be careful that the price wasn't inflated byX+1%.
I love Amazon thought, they were very cooperative with returns and replacements. I once accidently left a CPU cooler backplate on a returned board. They tried to track it and recover it for me, no luck. I got a new Corsair H80i with overnight shipping free, due to that, and it was my mistake.
