I make buying a SSD simple.

    1. Pick the brand I want.
    2. Pick the size I want.
    3. Looking in my checking account and buy when possible.

180GB is a strange size. I have two 5 year old Intel SSDs. They have been working to this day. Intel has a good reputation in SSD landd.

I agree with you, $185. is the suggested retail price in your link. Amazon has it for $135. Reviews on Amazon are 58 out of 67 rated at 5 stars.

On the AnandTech site, it states this SSD has a "SandForce SF-2281" Controller, is this going to be a problem ?

There were problems with early sandforce controllers. But I think they fixed that. Have not seen any complaints lately.
