Windows 7: cool master V-8

cool master V-8

so i just got this massive CPU cooler man is it big

i OC my Q9550 from 2.83 to 3.06 and its still in the temps of 20-30 degrees C
the first and second pics are to show how big this thing is compared to a 2 L. pop bottle then a reg pack of smokes

next is in my case and the last is a side view showing how much it sticks out of my case .. guess side panel isn't going back on .....i need a new case

Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Mint 9

That is indeed a nice cooler, but its big. Needs a nice full tower case.

Heard good things about it though.

My friends Hyundai engine isn't much bigger.

Glad I went with the somewhat smaller Hyper N. That thing is a lot bigger than the little picture on Newegg would lead one to think.

V8 weighs almost 2 pounds! (V10 weighs over 2.5). They make some trully huge ones:

But bigger is definitely not always better . The V8 is a really good cooler if the size doesn't cause you issues. A Guy

How cool is too cool?
I have been experimenting on various homemade cooling systems and ideas. One question I have not been able to find an answer for is, what are the lower limits of cpu function in regards to temperature? 10 degrees C? sub zero degrees C?
