    Battery Problem

I'm having the most frustrating problem, I've searched around on the Internet to find a solution to my problem but so far I've seen many people with my problem and no fix?

December 2009 i bought a brand new laptop a Compaq Notebook, couple of months ago my battery said it needed to be replaced and had a red [x] through it, it also was draining my battery rapidly after 10 mins having a fully charge battery went down to 90% (My battery's life is meant to be a hour). So having a year's guarantee on my laptop i took it back to shop and they ordered me a new battery. I have the new battery - The red [x] over my battery icon has gone, but my battery life is still draining quickly, as well as when i click on the battery icon it doesn't have the same sort of pop up as when it did when i first bought my laptop [when the battery was working fine]
I ran the HP troubleshoot program on my laptop and it says that my battery is in good working order - yet it seems to not be working functionally?

I was told it was a windows error and theres no solutions?
If anyone has the answer on how i can't get this fixed quickly i'd be greatly appreciative!

Ty for the kind words and rep. The most important part, and least known, is the part about discharging once a month. Take care my friend.
