Windows folder too big - Please help!

I think my Windows folder is just too big. Please look at an image of its tree:
Windows 7 ~~Ultimate~~ Obese

I put it on a partition of 20GB thinking it would be enough. Are there any files or folders I can get rid of to free up a load of space? I like to get rid of as much as I can even if I have to compromise.

I'm sure this subject has been touched on before but after searching I couldn't find anything relevant so apologies for that.

If anyone knows of a web page, thread or sticky dedicated to this then please post a link.

Did you install the system yourself
If yes did you upgrade or clean install

In additon to what we find, based upon your above answer, some of the use may be shadow copies (backup system restore,etc)

20GB is too small IMHO.

MIN. should be 30-40.

Things you can try:

1) You can try disabling the Hiberfile if you do not use the hibernate feature.

Open CMD prompt as ADMIN and type:
powercfg -off

2) Run an Advanced System Clean up.
Open CMD Prompt as Admin.
type cleanmgr sageset:99
(Check all the boxes)
then type: cleanmgr sagerun:99

3) Delete the Windows.old folder if you have one.

4) You can delete previous System restore points and reduce the Maximum allowed space it can use for Restore Points.

To be quite honest, I would just make the OS partition at the very least 40GB. 20Gb is simply to small.
