Windows 7 Professional x64

What is in this Program Files (x86) folder? Could a program have created it for some reason? If there is only a single program in it, that may be the case.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Who else have 2 program files folder with an OS of windows 7 (32 bit)??
I'm also using a 32-bit version, but only 1 program files folder.. :)
