Just started Check Disk MUSIC (F: )
Box Checked for Automatically fix file system errors
Box Checked for and attempt recovery of bad sectors

While checking Event Viewer, I found these recent errors.

This one looks really critical...

The device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR1, has a bad block.

Excellent.
Since SFC gave you a clean bill of health, then the bad sectors on C evidently didn't have any system files which is good.

Yes, you should run check disk on all of your drives. Normally, check disk only needs to be run when one has reason to believe that unusual behaviour or unusual noises from the disk are present.

Ah, alright. I will just chkdsk just to make sure all is good.
Well I did hear some weird noises last night for like 1 second.
My computer has been running fine, just slow at times.
I guess it's due to many programs open.
Last question, do people always look and try to fix Error and Warnings on Event viewer??
Is it needed to be always fixing those?
I have googled several events and come up with no fixes explainable to noobs.

Thanks karlsnooks!

Don't worry about all of those error and warning msgs in event viewer. I've never been able to make sense of many of them.

l'm going to sleep for awhile and will get back later.

Did you run the HD diagnostics/repair scan from HD maker, downloaded to burn to CD from the links I provided?

If your bad sectors/blocks are due to surface errors, the HD repair scan can fix them so that the HD can go on to live a full normal life. This is why it needs to be run whenever you have these abnormalities. I would run it now, report back the results, then run chkdsk again.

Once repaired, test again periodically to make sure the problem isn't reocurring or progressive. I have HD's that never show errors again, others that need minimal repair regularly, and others that are on their way out but I know it because I am testing them regularly to see.

I also run memtest86, chkdsk and full HD diag/Repair CD scan on every reinstall.

No, I haven't
I was not sure which one to download.
Do I download Data Lifeguard v11.2? (WD)

Just today I had pop-ups from Windows Explorer telling me I need to back-up because one of my HDD is ready to fail....
It is for my F drive.

Where can I find the name/model of my hard disk drive?

I have checked system informations and dxdiag.
I know one is Western Digital because at start up it says WD, but unsure of the other one.

Look in Device manager under Hard Drives and google what is given to find out the exact make/model.

Data Lifeguard bootable CD (DOS) version is what you want for WD. But I use GWScan which works better.
