3Gb DDR2 pc2 (6400) 800mhz...only 4,8 score?

    3Gb DDR2 pc2 (6400) 800mhz...only 4,8 score?


    i have 3gb (2+1) kingstone memory ram on my notebook. it's ddr2 800mhz, i only recieve 4,8 win7 experience index score. it would be somehow acceptable, but after i checked same memory slots on my sis' notebook, it gave her 5,2....anyone can help. btw, on cpu z says it is on dual chanell...seems i'm missing something

    Don't put too much stock in the WEI it doesn't mean that much in the grand scheme of things, if the PC does what you need it to do in timely manner that is all that matters.

    yeah, probably you guys are right but i'm the type of person who want's everything to be as it should and this thing about memory and exp. index just didn't look like it's in the right spot. if i tried and put some time to search for that extra gig of ram which i wanted to be the same manufacturer and speed....man wtf?! give me at least 5,0 grade :P. don't know, maybe i really shouldnt give a f... about it like u guys say but, it's bothering me, or maybe even...making me aaangry!!!

    and Bare Foot kid, hoe do u mean that w7 index doesn't mean much? i know it doesnt help your harware go better of perform faster but it's some kind of benchmark, isn't it?!!

    Are you certain it's dual channel? Do you have 3 1GB Dimm's, or 2 1GB and 2 512MB?
