Run Disk Check

Next test your HD using maker's full HD diag/repair CD scan: Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage)

Check for repeat errors in Event Viewer>Admin View. Google text and ID# to resolve.

Next try memtest86 for 5-6 passes, or overnight. Memtest86 - Download Page

I'd try a Repair Install as a last resort before reinstall. It fixes most things that direct fixes cannot be found for.

I checked for memory problems NO problems...since there are no errors and no integrity violations why does it hang?

Could be many reasons.

Please describe how you ran each of the tests suggested so far.
