I used a very thin layer spread over the whole CPU when I first put my PC together. Today, I replaced the compound and just put a pea sized dot in the middle and let the heatsink spread it when I re-installed it. Temps went down nearly 15c! The reason was probably too much compound and/or when you spread the compound out and install the heatsink, tiny air bubbles accumulate and this will give increased temperatures.

i took a full screen shot with a few windows open and some apps running such as a movie and full virus scan and a couple browsers does this justify my temps

TMPIN0 is supposedly my CPU's temperature (AMD Athlon II x2 240 Regor 2.8 GHz) When I was rendering a 1080p video file, the load temperature peaked at 48'C. Didn't get any higher than that. This is on a stock heatsink, fan, and thermal paste.

TMPIN1 is the northbridge. It never exceeds 42'C, but back when I used the integrated video, it did.

I'm not sure what TMPIN2 is.. if I had to guess, I'd say it's the thermal readings?

Anything under ACPI and "AMD Athlon II x2 240" seems to be screwed up.

My GPU core heats up to as high as 70'C during a heavy game, but it's fanless too.

My fathers is a 4670 and has a VERY VERY small fan. Im sure if you put big enough Heatsink on there it could be fan less.

not even that the 4670 is a very low end video card... very light weight even under load.

Fanless

i7 930 temps?
So my buddy asked me to post this regarding his i7 930 temperatures. He's running a ASETEK 510LC 120MM WATERCOOLER, but his temperatures vary among his cores. On average, his cores idle around 50, but each core has a different temperature, such as 46 to 55. On a watercooled system, those temps...

Hope this is correct place for this...may not be specific Win 7 issue...but it's come up on a new Win 7 installation/setup. Ran a program call Speccy recommended somewhere in Seven forums and noticed what appears to me to be very warm/hot temperatures in my PC box. While Speccy mainly...
