    Windows Check Disk

Hello. My Windows 7 Check Disk program isn't working at all. I schedule the disk check, but it doesnt occur when I restart. Any reason why?

Run sfc /scannow from elevated CMD: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Then try running chkdsk /r
    Disk Check

If either of these fail, boot the Win7 DVD or Repair CD, open a Command Line to try them.

Without knowing exactly how you are attempting to run it, it's difficult to say, but here is a link that gives you the various ways of running it:

    Disk Check

IF that doesn't help, post back with more info. Also, filling in your system specs can be helpful.

As the /r switch for dskchk assumes /f it's usually a better choice for a problem drive...
