pls i have problem with sfc /scannow

    pls i have problem with sfc /scannow


    i am using win7 ultimate 32 bit, when i try to use sfc /scannow through the run command i see quick flash and i cant use it cause it gone fast . if i try to use it through dos command in accessoires i find this message : you must be an administrator running a console session in order to use the sfc /scannow utility
    pls help me i am using updated avira and have no virus and clean system

    click on start button type cmd,right click and chose Run as administrator then type sfc command.

    type cmd in the search bar then right click and choose run as administrator on cmd.exe then type sfc /scannow?

    This Tutorial should help you: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Note that you need to do this from within an Elevated Command Prompt, as mentioned in the above Tutorial.

    need help for sfc not working


    thanks for fast reply
    i finished doning sfc and i get this report
    windows resource protection found co
    corrupt files but was unabae to fix some of them
    details are included in cbs.log windir/cbs/cbs.log.
    i trayed opening the file but access is denied, by the way i did sfc towice the first while windows cd is not in the cd rom the second while windows cd in rom . but the same report why it did not fix my windows ?
    i need more help good guys

    First, the SFC command does not fix all problems at once, try several more times.
    Second if the problems are still not repaired post the .cbs report. If not many repairs are needed possibly it can be done; if the list is extensive a repair install must be performed.
