Laptop and WD External HD question.

Just bought a new HP laptop and have several questions on saving on MY Book, Western Digital 500GB HD of which I have 294GB free left on it.
I am already using Paragaon Back software and have made mirror of my Desktop and make a monthly backups on it.

    1. Want to check out Macrium free software and make a mirror image of laptop and save it on My Book. If I make a new folder in My Book can I use My Book and accomplish images and monthly back ups for both computer's on same HD ?

    2. Would it be better to partition My Book External HD using one for the Desktop and the other for the laptop?

    3. Or is there an easier way to accomplish this?

I will be away for a period of time today but will check in about 1530 or 1600hrs PST.
Thanks for any and all help.

At medium compression Reflect makes full disk Image backups that are about 1/3 the size of Windows System Image. I have Image backups for both my laptop and desktop on the same WD drive with no conflicts. As long as you label them clearly there will be no problems picking out which one to restore.

    Max,
Just finished the full back up into a special folder and everything went great.
    Thanks for the feedback.
Have a great day and let's close this baby down!
