IF u understand what those keys are/refer to then u can use them, but with caution i.e. not deleting the entries about which you don't know what they're.
Better yet, make a backup of the keys your gonna delete as offered by CCleaner.

Yeah! Ccleaner will most probably list them as "Missing Unistall Reference" or similar and you can remove them from there. They no longer will appear in Windows's uninstall or Revo's list.

Aye, I don't move a lot of files around myself so I only use it about once every 3 months when I perform all my other scheduled tasks. I take about a hour out of my day and clean out the inside (2 smokers and 2 cats put out a lot of dirt and grime), defrag, run the cleaner, and just make sure everything is tightened down and still spinning like it should. My older 9500GT I usually take out and take a q-tip to since the fan is starting to show signs of age and I also pay special attention to the power supply since that could cause a fire and would bork my entire system if it went out.

Not everyone agrees with Chris Pirillo's or his friend Kat's opinion.

I use PC Tune ups 2011 & Uniblue PC Suite 2011 to maintain my pc. Along with Diskmax (Which i have to say, is actually amazing)

I do use CC cleaner and do use it to delete old registry problems, so far I've not had any problem. I maintain my pc daily.

To be quite frank, if you “clean” your registry often enough, it will become fragmented. That WILL result in slower system performance… quite the opposite of what you were trying to accomplish in the first place. I think I’d rather have orphaned keys in my registry, instead of deleting something by a so-called “cleaner” that should have never been touched.
I never knew this :S

Ccleaner
Hello I was advised to use the section of Ccleaner labeled, Windows and Applications if you use; temp files, history, cookies, urls, autocomplete, recent docs, run, recycle bin and clipboard. Is this sound advise or should I just perform a disc cleanup?

CCleaner and WMP
I think with the latest version CCleaner added detection of WMP files. Or at least I never saw them before. When I run CCleaner with WMP selected under Applications it finds over 1 million KB of Art Cache .jpg files (sample attached). Can these be safely deleted? I use iTunes as my media...

Help with CCleaner
I regularly use CCleaner, probably around 3 times a week. The thing is, when it cleans out Firefox and Google Chrome, all my saved logins are gone. For example, I never log out of VF, SF or EF. My logins are saved. After using CCleaner, they aren't. Which options do I need to uncheck or check in...

CCleaner
How do I get rid of that stupid security warning when opening CCleaner and Defraggler? I don't want to disable it for all programs, just those two. I can't figure out how to screen cap the window (Prnt Screen doesn't work), but it's the one that's titled "User Account Control".
