just curious if anyone has had any success or tried installing two exact hard drives on this Acer 7552G-6061 for a RAID 0? I know an SSD would be much faster then RAID 0, but the WD Scorpio black hard drives (500gb) are only $69 and I have bought one right now and moved the slower stock 5400rpm drive to the extra drive bay and I must say I think the 7200rpm Scorpio black is fast enough for what I want to do and if in RAID 0 with a second one would be way faster then I need.

Just noticed this.

To the OP, if your XP reinstall would not reactivate using Product Key from COA sticker you might have not been using an OEM installer for the licensed version. A retail installer with XP will reject the key at activation.

Nevertheless the XP OEM version qualifies you for Win7 upgrade version on that machine, and you do not need XP installed to clean install Win7: Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version

Starting with Vista, the retail and OEM installers are the same.

Update on this as opposed to starting a new thread.

Recently got a Intell X25 SSD. My acer says it will not install Windows as the drive is not bootable?

I used Acronis to make a copy of my current drive, still the Acer wont boot from it...

Puzzled here any input would be great

Thanks

A Few Questions
I've used Windows Media Center a couple times and like the look and feel and would use it if I had a couple of these things. 1. Is it possible to skin? 2. Is there a way to sync free tv shows and movies to it, or something along those lines? Thanks. ~Joshua~
