    Normally, I would start with this test, but I was led to believe that you basically did this already. It will show if its the AV

    When I uncheck the norton in the services, why does it always stays check even if I restart it? I think its the culprit here.

    Dont go to services, go to startup in msconfig

    In Startup, theres only 3 checked, the catalyst(ATI), synaptics pointer, and the microsoft windows operating system

    If it were my computer, I would make a system restore point, just in case, and uninstall.
    Then test
    After the test regarless of out come I would install Microsoft Security Essentials

    In lieu of all that try this, if you wish

    You've got a lot of non-windows-native services running in that list in your first post. You need to google for each, identify what each does and whether you need it, then set service type to disabled/manual/automatic and stop/start the service per requirement. As far as I can see there're many there you dont need running.

    Go ahead and start googling for each, if theres something you cant figure out post here and we'll help.

    Bill has given you a very good suggestion and you should give it a try. Dont forget about the AV, it may be the source of many problems.

    Eventhough I google it, I still can't understand whether I'll disable it or not. The ones that I posted are the services that aren't still disabled. I disabled some services like the bonjour, ipod services, some vaio entertainments.
