How to kill the Action center messages

During my bluetooth nightmare i have had 4 messages pop up telling me something isnt working right. these bloody messages are stuck on my screen and i cant get rid of them. Its the white box with the open action center link at the bottom.
Of course a re boot works but thats just stupid, i should be able to dismiss the pop ups. As it is windows cant fix it so its cath 22.
Anyone know what the process is i can kill? End task doesn't work.

Thanks.

Dave.

Right click on the little flag in the system tray (lower right), click on "open action center", click on "change action center settings in the left of the window that pops up, uncheck the boxes of the subjects you no longer wish to be notified about. Click apply or OK and that should do it.

Thanks but im not trying to stop them, i wanted to get rid of the ones that were stuck on my screen.
I had two of them and the only way i could clear them was to re boot.

Hello Fliplip,

To remove only a individual message without turning it off, then this may help.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Shawn, ill have a read of that. Its only happened the once so far so hopefully it wont happen again but i think i will try turning some of them off.
These messages just seemed to be stuck on the screen. I couldn't even minimise them and they would always be at the front of other windows. Bloody annoying.

Well, if it just gets stuck open, then killing and restarting the explorer process should be able to easily reset it for you.

Explorer.exe - Kill all processes at once

Damn, i hadn't thought of that. I do it occasionally in XP but didnt think of doing it in W7.

Cheers.
