I have stated my proof throughout the first page. My questions remain unanswered. =/

Well I will leave this thread be seeing as I completely disagree with most things stated.

This is a rather in depth article on the subject, though I don't know what to think of it.

An interesting read, indeed. I wish I had the tools to actually test the assertions made.

It also appears the OP and the author of the article are one and the same, but I don't know.

    My thoughts exactly.

I think my 3gb plus 512mb on the video is pretty much all i could get out of this AMD X4 anyway - perhaps it's in place to stop over capitalising, ie. if you buy a block of land in a slum you don't build a mansion on it. in the same way just because you can put 8gb in there dosn't mean that windows will get any noticable benefit from it.

    Might I suggest a Test

2hr - 1920x1080 aac5.1 capture source - convert it to x264 HD-HQ and AAC5.1 File of 2.4gb using staxrip Once with the 4gb limit in. and then a second time with the 4gb limit removed in the same machine - leaving the 8gb in the whole time.

I do these sort of things often and know how long it can take. and it is a real stress on the Processor running at 100% for an hour at a time so that variable will be removed from the equation.

Do you really think if this was true it wouldn't have been hacked into existence by now?

    It's a technical limitation dude.

I know what it is but i would like the person to run the test on his system and see for himself - I have already demonstrated the WEI score can be manipulated by changing an xml file, just cause my score says 7.9 all the way down dosn't mean its so.

That may be the first appearance, but note that where the OP reproduces from the article, the writing is grammatical, but where the OP writes for himself, the syntax, grammar, style and tone are very different.

I, the author of the article, am heartily sick of people going round the Internet reproducing from that article without attribution - and, indeed, as if they were the author!

In case it's not clear, please let me stress that the Geoff Chappell who wrote the article posts only in his own name, does not reproduce from the article without using quotation marks, and does not reproduce from the article as all or even most of any forum post.
