    AMD 1090t Temps

    Hi,

Can you let me know if the temps in the below picture look about right for the AMD 1090t CPU and the Gigabyte 890fxa-ud5 Motherboard?

I am using the Corsair H50 CPU Cooler.

    Many thanks,

Those are great temps!! I had a Phenom IIx4 955 that would idle around 28 to 32c depending on the ambient temp. But that was with a "quiet" air cooler!!

HWMonitor is pretty accurate but is there anywhere else to confirm those temps? Perhaps another monitoring tool or even within the BIOS?

    Hi,

Thanks I have checked the BIOS and and it shows the temp at 30c? How come there is such a difference is this normal?

I have also used Core Temp in windows and that shows the same temps as Hardware Monitor

My Intel board is the same. The BIOS shows at least 4 to 6 degrees different. Can't remember what the AMD board stated. But HWMonitor and Core Temp should be correct. Either or...those are great temps. Says a lot for the H50 Cooler

OK thanks for confirming the temps are okay. At least they are well within the limit of 62 which is the max rated for the CPU.

Run Prime95 for 10-20 minutes and see what the upper limit is.
My brother bought a 1090T 2 months ago and we had issues getting core temp and another app to read the temps properly, I can't remember what we did but we got it working correctly.
He is using a Cooler Master 212+ cooler which lowered the temps dramatically over the stock cooler.

Your temps are gonna be off 8c to 12c with that chip . Because the software is reading the socket temp not the chips core temp. And not for nothing but are you living in a home that is colder then that posted chip temp lol... Think about it , if your room is not lower then the temp your posting with that software how do you suppose that warmer air creates such low cpu temps :) :) :)

    Hi

    Thanks for your replies

I have checked the BIOS again and it shows the cpu temp around 30c I assume this will be more acurate than progrms within windows?

If anyone knows how to get temp programs
to propley read the temps that would be great.

    Many thanks
