    No boot

Went to start computer this morning, switched on screen, start button on tower, lights, fans all start up and run. but screen shows No Signal, screen goes onto standby.
Despite several attemps to start from scratch, same thing happened.

Looking for best guess or where to start, as getting into bios is a non-starter, and I've tried my repair disc without success

    CPU i5
    Graphics Geforce 8800gt
    4gig Ram

    M/B P7P55D

M/B has 4 LED's for checking, any remaining on look for fault.

    D RAM LED OFF
    CPU LED OFF
    VGA LED ON RED
    BOOT LED ON GREEN

That seems to tell me there is a fault with the GRAPHICS card, but the BOOT menu is OK.

    Would you agree.?

Also if it needs to be replaced, what would you suggest is an equivelant or slight step up Graphics card.

have you tried removing the graphics card, giving the contacts and slot a clean, then plugging it back in?

    might work...

is the graphics card fan still spinning?

    Cannot get into Safe Mode.

Tried removing card replaced but no joy, noticed slight piece missing off a contact.about 1/4 of it, one side.

Turns out it was the M/Board, booted straight away but trouble with CPU overheating, ordered a new fan.

Have stepped up the graphics card to GeForce gts450.
