A Big thank you to all who have helped me solve this problem with Windows 7.
I have taken your advice and i am using my Gforce GFX card but not using the drivers for it and everything seem to be fine now, not tried it with a high resolution display yet but it ok to try out the software.
If anyone know of a driver that will work please point me in the right direction.
I take my hat of to you guys everyone of you this forum is the best and you guys make it so,
Many regards Edward
sam, out of curiosity, does your 8600 have dual display? If it does, did you check the other display connection? My friend was having a similar issue with his 8800 gtx a while back and when he plugged in his other dvi he saw Windows 7 sitting there waiting on his computer and user name (this was during installation).
Hi fakeasdf,
Yes my card does have a dual display connector and i did try it but there was nothing then not even to black screen.
One point that baffels me is my Gforce now works ok but without the driver installed.
How does that work i thought you needed the driver to make it work.
Regards Edward
It is using a driver, it's using a basic Windows VGA driver. You need a driver to take advantage of your video card, for example I bet if you try and play games you are going to be sorely upset :)
Both nVidia and ATI have Win7 drivers released on their sites. If you're using the old Vista drivers you'll have to visit their site and look for the one's for Win7.
They had them for my old nVidia 7600 GS, and for my new ATI HD 4870.
If i don't use the drivers to the graphic card i can't start any game like World of Warcraft or Crysis coz they need the drivers to be running i don't know what to do :S
not really sure i know it window 7 32bit and many ppl had the same problem but only with duel monitor on vista 32bit
