Date - easy one

In most Win 7 installations that I've seen, in the lower right-hand corner, the time is displayed over the date. However on mine, only the time is shows, and not the date (but when I hover over the time, the date is shown)

I can't seem to find the setting that shows the date always.

Can anyone help?

Right click the taskbar > untick lock taskbar . Move mouse cursor to outside edge of taskbar until double arrow is seen then drag the taskbar away from edge of screen expanding it. Expanding the taskbar to 2 rows of icons will show this Date - easy one-2011-02-28_030004.png or Date - easy one-2011-02-28_025923.png this and 3 rows of icons will show this Date - easy one-2011-02-28_025848.png or Date - easy one-2011-02-28_030041.png this depending on which side of the screen your taskbar is on, IE: Top, Bottom, Left, Right.

If you are using "Small Icons" only the time will be shown in the default state.

"easy transfer" resets folder modified date
I just installed Windows 7 (Pro 64bit) on my desktop and ran W.E.T. to transfer my files from my Vista installation. The files have maintained their modified date/timestamp, but the folders' modified-date have all been reset to the current date (actually not quite all of them - empty folders have...

Date format using space as date separator rather than forward slash!
Hi all, I'm new to Windows 7 (Home Premium 32-bit) and I just can't figure out what's going on here! Basically I want my short date format to be dd/mm/yyyy (UK format) e.g. 05/11/2010, but when I key a date into Excel 2002 it is appearing as 05 11 2010. In Control Panel I have the short date...

Can an Easy Transfer archive be used/read without using Easy Transfer?
This sounds like a dumb question, but here's the background. My daughter's XP laptop crashed (trashed hard disk that I doubt we can rescue much data from) and so we got her a Windows 7 computer. Unless we can rescue much of the old data from crashed XP, she's pretty much starting off empty. ...
