    shrink partiton


    im trying to shrink a partiton on my c drive exactly the same way as ive just done on a vista laptop , but when i go in2 computer management then try to shrink volume i put in 30000 but at the bottom the shrink button stays greyed out no matter what number i put in


    please help i need to dual boot

    You could try Method Two here: Partition or Volume - Shrink

    done that but when i go to shrink query max

    it says the number of reclaimable bytes is 0b {wtf)

    ive got 80 gbs free

    any other suggestions?

    You can use acronis disk director

I just concluded some hard disk cleanup. I had W7 plus Zorin on two separate drives. I decided I wanted Zorin on the Mint drive, and the W7 drives with only W7. Hi, So i recenetly reinstailled Windows 7, and i had shrink my partition in CMD durning setup, anyway i went to delete my old Windows 7 Partition, and i find out that a new partition was created (System reserved) It was never there before I don't know what it is?? Can i delete it??

Hello ppl, i have a small issue, i installed Windows 7 on a dell 1520 laptop. everything is workin great, i formatted the 10gig vista restore partition, and lookin at my disk management i now have 10gigs (un allocated ) 102gig healthy primary partition (windows 7 sys files) and 140 gigs healthy...
ok currently on my system i have a 320gb hdd with just 1 partion that is 298gb with vista ultimate installed on it, is there any way i can split this into 2 partitions both 149gb so i can install w7 on the other? i tried using the vista disk management thing but the maximum it will let me shrink is...
