Starting a specific service when opening an application

    Hello,

I use Tunngle to game online through LAN, and it uses a service named TnglCtrl.exe which uses 10mb of memory idle. Even though when I am not using Tunngle, it starts. If i close the service, Tunngle will refuse to run. So I would like to know if it is possible to do the following:

In Services, I set TnglCtrl.exe to Manual startup. When I would like to start the Tunngle application, TnglCtrl.exe would start automatically. Is this possible?

    Thanks,
    Slasher

Just have it on all the time...10 MBs of RAM is absolutely NOTHING.
You have way to much RAM to be concerned over this.

    Hi,

Even if 10mb's is nothing, I am trying to rid the service because it causes startup time and shutdown time to increase. Isn't there any way to do this in Task Scheduler or something? Please I would like a solution.

    Thanks,

    Hello mate.

I'm not sure this is what you're after but it can't hurt to have a go, have a good look at this tutorial at the link below and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

I take it you are rebooting your computer a thousand times a day?
Otherwise you should just set it as "Automatic (Delayed Start)"

    Hi Bare Foot Kid,

Thanks for trying to help, but the link didn't have anything related to what I was trying to do? Anything else I could possibly do?

    Thanks,

Use Automatic Delayed Start or find an alternative application.
