    laptop works slow

    hi..

my laptop works slow. its because of specs or some other problem?

even i am not able to see the basic anti-aliasing effect? Is it because of low RAM and

    VGA?

Is it suddenly slow or has it been slow since you got it? Looking at the specs, I'm not surprised it's slow...how old is it? DIdn't the AMD Athlon(tm) XP-M 2600 get released in 2004 somewhere?

Looking at the system specs, your PC is below average. It WILL definitely run slow.

    Right time to upgrade...

In that case I'm pretty sure your motherboard doesn't properly support Windows 7. If you switch back to XP it'll be faster again. But since it's a 7 year old laptop, you might want to consider getting a new one.

Yeah I agree on getting a new laptop instead of upgrading the current one.

Laptops can barely ever be upgraded. Even if your laptop had upgrade options when it was released, that's already 7 years ago, so no way that you're going to find upgrade options now. Even if you do they won't be worth the money since you'd be upgrading from something very old to something old.

768MB of RAM is insufficient to run Windows 7 satisfactorily. You may well get it to boot, but until you increase the amount of RAM (if you are able to), you will have poor performance.

For running Windows 7 you'll need more RAM memory. Also even when you run on Windows XP,if you think that is running slowly that usually, will be good to check the temperatures . Maybe they are higher so your computer is running slowly.
