    no Windows defrag?

I've been trying different defrag programs and wanted to compare the native Windows 7 defragger but it doesn't seem to exist. Is there some way of installing it? This is Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

    Thanks!

    Start> Search> Disk defrag
    should bring it up.

Just type "dfrgui.exe" without quotes in Windows start search bar! :)

    solved

False alarm. I had disabled some services and one of them must have had something to do with defrag. I just enabled them all again and it's back. Doh!

    Dear p5bdkw,
As Sherlock Holmes would have said to DR.Watson "it's elementary,my dear Watson", though whether he ever uttered that sentence is questionable! You have made it look so simple, i am tempted to rep you, but i can't!

    regards,

    Dear oboedad55,
I will accept your contention if you accept that, had you typed Disk Defrag in the search box in the first place, there would have been no thread like this!LOL!

Dear Mr. (Miss?) sreedhav, I did in fact type in '"defrag"at the search window. But alas, as I mentioned in my followup, Windows defrag was disabled. Aha! The plot thickens. Now what say you?
