    Test Mode


    Hello everybody, on my Windows 7 at the bottom left it shows:
    Test Mode
    Windows 7
    Build 9780

    Anyone can help me how to remove it?

    Solved, but now the boot screen:
    Also I changed the boot screen but I can't now change it back to the default, I tried using the command prompt but didn't work, anyone can help me pleasE?

    Is windows activated?


    If it is you can try this:

    Open a cmd window with administrator rights and run this command:

    Bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING OFF

    Reboot the PC and the test mode should go away.

I hope this is the right forum. I've searched quite a bit, but I'm still unclear on running Test Mode. Does anyone run in Test Mode all of the time? Are there specific disadvantages to running in Test Mode all of the time? Thanks for any info. :D
2nd XP mode as test system

Can you clone XP mode and use it to test software etc and then delete it when done leaving your original XP mode intact and unchanged?
