Windows Resource Protection is a feature that protects registry keys and folders as well as critical system files, System File Checker is integrated with WRP.

You can read more about it here

You could do a repair install which will do a repair of the operating system. You will need to have the DVD installation disc. And if you did this i would back up all of your data you want to save just incase something went wrong!

    Hello.

You can try an sfc /scan using the method outlined in this tutorial at the link below, it may have better success as it runs from WinRE and the system files won't be 'in use' during the scan, be sure to run the scan several times as it can take several runs to complete successfully and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

Now this is strange.I ran sfc /scan at boot which gave me message Windows Resource Protection did not find integrity violation. So me being happy restarted my laptop and ran sfc /scan again this time in normal mode and behold the same error message appeared WRP found corrupt files but was unable to correct some of them.

    So what to do now???

Are you having issues or you just experimenting?
