Honestly, just cleaning out corrupted registry entries isn't going to reap a big performance reward. The bigggie with registry maintenance is defragmenting the registry. It's like deleting some program files and/or a bunch of music off your hard drive, it will leave your hard drive fragmented. So, one must defrag.
I personally use and install Clean My PC 4.37 for that purpose. It has a registry cleaner AND a defragmenter to 'fix it up'.:)
Also, I stand by it since I have it installed on about 12 separate machines and it always resolves Windows performance issues. The fact is that the Windows registry does get messed, but that doesn't mean that re-installing Windows is the only option. I would die.
Got it cannot get rid of it. Wants to be paid. Any help appreciated. Ran Super Anti Spyware,Malewarebytes,CC Cleaner and it is still here. Actually on my wifes side . Any help appreciated.
Running Windows 7 32-bit operating system on Gateway GT5622 desktop computer. Event Viewer reports errors 7026, 7003, and 7001. The description for these errors is misconfigured system files. Should I use a system cleaner to correct these errors?
I didn't buy yet but I ran a scan using Speedmax PC and it stated that I had 801 problems that needed fixing. When I did some research on Google most places stated not to use a registry cleaner that they have been known not to work and delete some or all your info plus messing your computer up...
