My pc is not showing Hidden Folders even after enabling - "Show Hidden

My pc is not showing Hidden Folders even after enabling - "Show Hidden Files, Folders and files"...
now here is how it goes...
i open folder options in the explorer,
and saw that none of the options "DON'T Show Hidden Files, Folders and files" or "Show Hidden Files, Folders and files" is checked... [snapshot 1]
i checked the bullet "Show Hidden Files, Folders and files" and click apply and then OK... [snapshot 2]
but nothing happens... when again i opened folders options, it was again with none marked... [snapshot 1]

I'm currently checking for any viruses for this problem...
But please tell me how to fix this???...

    Hello Amit,

As a test, add Show/Hide Hidden Files to your desktop context menu using the tutorial below. Afterwards click on it in the context menu to see if your hidden files will display afterwards.

Show - Hide Hidden Files - Add to Context Menu

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

It appears that your permissions may be messed up.

As another test, create a new administrator account and see how changing the hidden settings using both options above work while logged in the new account.

If still not and you know when this first started to happen, then you may be able to do a system restore using a restore point dated before this to hopefully fix it for you.
