I know... I just see 7.9 and must have it. Or as close to it as possible... or at least have the same score across the board. Consistency!

(also, thanks!! I don't know why I didn't click that before).
I know what you mean. But, as far as I know there is not a CPU on the market that will get a 7.9. Other components will if you are willing to pay the money(which I'm not). But, WEI is not a decent rating tool. If your components do what you want, the wei rating dosen't matter. I had a 1055T rig. I had to overclock it to get my ram to 1600. That only helped a little. I don't play many games, so a 5770 is plenty for me. If it of any interest here is my WEI on my 1055T.

Just wondering what motherboard you had for your Phenom X6, my ddr2 and this motherboard wont go over 7.5 so any info be useful. I know Crosshair Formula/Extreme will do the job but what did you have?

What I had was an MSI 890GXM However I do not recommend it. It had nothing but problems, was RMA'd and they returned a board that had been rma'd by someone else. It had as many problems as mine. They refused to even discuss it or accept any communication from me. It died about a month later and currently resides in the dump. But, I think what would do the trick is the 890 chipset. A little OC helps too.

The MB in your specs should do at least as well, if not better. I had a GX board and you have a FX board. Onboard graphics hurts performance.

I knew I got a sweet board when I bought it, but I'm afraid of overclocking :/ I've seen too many melted components and too much smoke come from computers. Nightmare-material for sure.

That's the board I was going to get if I had rebuilt my AMD rig. But Sandy Bridge came out about then and I decided to go that route. I got a whole new rig, so I still have everything to build a new one except a MB and CPU. I'm just waiting to see what Bulldozer is like. I may go that route or build something else.

EDIT: Overclocking is not that bad if it is done reasonably. I only OC'd that rig enough to get my ram up to 1600. That rig is at the bottom of my specs.

Thanks for the warning. But I think the Crosshair Formula/Extreme route with some DDR3 and an SSD should push the performance up. Saving for a GTX 580 at the moment but after that who knows where I will go.

DDR3 will help the ram score, but I think the 890 chipset (or 990 now) is what will help the CPU.
