btw...wat abt a 10000rpm one? iv got 7200rpm one now..

I doubt a 10,000 RMP would help much, although I do seem to recall 2 Raptors in raid that got 6.1.

hmm nice..! wish SSDs were cheaper and were LARGE not 64gb or so..
anyway thanks..for the while i have to stick to my HITACHI!

That's the highest I've seen, 6.1....and I do remember it was a RAID setup. I don't recall which spinners it was, but it seems pretty likely that it would have been the Raptors.
