    removing eastern fonts

i've just looked in my fonts folder and found a whole bunch of eastern fonts that i'm pretty sure i will never want to use.

now, in the interests of speeding up boot-time and running a leaner system, i want to delete these files.

BUT windows says some of them are protected system files and won't let me delete them.

anyone know of any apps/hacks that will let me get rid of this excess baggage?

Deleting them is not going to speed up your boot time.

How many fonts are you talking abt/ 10's 100's? there are several ways but if you remove one that is needed for display or printing you are going to have trouble.

The ones that are protected system files are probalby registered to some app or being used. Others I can right click and delete easily

BTW deleting most of the language fonts only gained me 1 second in boot time

You'll free up maybe 5 megs by erasing fonts.

The flipside will be system errors you won't see until further down the line.
