how di I move files to clear diskspace

I need to clear up some diskspace by moving lots of picture and movie files to an external hard drive. On xp and previous you just right click and move them. On seven it is not so simple it seems. In help it tells you 30 ways to do everything else.
so someone please let me in on this little secret and I will be eternally grateful. Have a nice day. (This is a 32 bit system)

If you right click on a file or folder and drag with the right button held down to the destination directory when you drop it you are given the choice of copy or move.

Sounds good. Why could MS not include that in their "Help" One reason why reading the instructions doesn't help.
Especially with MS. Now to start getting rid of about 90 gig of picture files. Have a nice day. Thanks to all.

No problem drudge. M$ always gives you more than one way and its help has always been rubbish. That's why these forums are needed.
