@Slasher sry coz late...maybe next week...since I'm outta money...when I get the job done, you can continue help me. Also no information from my dad...can't find any text on the board also...did startup on bios show the brand name? can't find it...hmm maybe you just can help me without the mobo info...for the driver...I think Driver Genius Pro can find it all...using it for years. Some advice on the performance would be nice. I'll see you in a week...I'm broke right now ^^
Alright then. Its better to find and install drivers manually rather than using a program to do so, I only use 3rd party driver update programs for drivers I can't really find without...
Open up your case and take a good look at your motherboard. You should find a model number and or a part number printed on it. The manufacturers name should be there some where too. Write down what you find and Google it.
@gregrocker - He is gonna do that but only after he fixes his temperature issue with his desktop, 80 degrees idle is just to hot and will damage the computer the longer it is on... After he fixes the issue he can go ahead and do so.
Right on.
If you can clean out the dust from your heatsink to reuse it, here's how to clean off and reapply the thermal compound:
You can also Google for videos for more specific processors if the above is not familar.
Okay I'm back...sry 4 the late mate...kinda broke on money...haha
okay lets get on to it...
already buy new heatsink+fan...paste the gummy thingy exactly as ur guide + the video from grocker.
thx god its cool down abit...but the temp still kinda high
58c on idle...but go 65ish when open media...is this normal or not?
if its not, what might be the problem?
do I did it wrong on the paste?
original intel socket 775
theres no windows issue just the heat...
btw what is the normal heat on idle? 45 ish right?
hmm maybe I paste it wrong? I think theres nothing wrong with the paste -.-
