Windows 7: All Programs Are 'NOT RESPONDING'

Hi Karlsnooks,

It's been a busy few days and to update my issue, it's ran much better when i narrowed down the startup menu to the 2 posted above. It only interrupted a few times throughout the day versus every few minutes. Thanks for the help, is a few times a day something I'll have to live with or do you believe it to be a Norton issue? Thanks again, much appreciated.

Lossi

The least intrusive, smallest footprint, most frequently updated, and free antivirus program is Microsoft Secuity Essentials (MSE). Link in my sig.

I would 1)download MSE,
2) disconnect from internet,
3) Control Panel | Programs and Features | scroll down until you find Norton | right-click on Norton | choose Uninstall
5) reboot your computer
6) install MSE
7) reconnect to internet.

There was a day when you had to download a special program from Norton to uninstall. Nowadays, you can uninstall norton just like a normal program.

You will have less performance problems.

Not Responding Issue Solved!!!!

Karlsnooks,

Thanks, that was it!!! Stinking Norton was the hang up, the moment it completed uninstalling, my laptop was running like champ. All morning so far, no hang-ups. Thanks for the support, much appreciated!!!

How can a popular program pretend to enhance your browsing experience or overall PC experience and be a detriment instead, they're laughing all the way to the bank.

Best Regards,

In their defense their software works great for most people as with most everything else it doesn't work out that well for everyone though.
The new kapersky is looking pretty good haven't seen any crashes caused by it yet.

Glad to help and thanks for the feedback. You will do well with Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE).
