ASUS have it as one of their FAQs and don't seem to have a solution.

Apart from it being a nuisance what do you see as the main consequence?

It's just a big PI M ...

The only consequence I see is that, should you have to re install/fix Windows, you'll have to disconnect all other HD's to force C to position 0. As long as Windows boots ok and there is no problems with installed programs then I guess leave well enough alone. But that's not the solution. I'll keep looking till I find one.

I would never have known about this problem if I hadn't lost my MBR on C. I've never had a reason to check on C. Even running Vista, never had a problem re installing. Do you have any Idea as to how long this problem has been around?

When I was running Win 7 32bit and had to re install I never had a problem it's only when I started to run the 64bit is when I found this problem. Am I wrong? Has this been a problem in 32bit as well?
