PC becomes laggy after using browser for a long time

    Hello,

I am facing this strange problem ever since I upgraded my PC. After using any web browser (I have tested IE8, FF4, FF5, FF6, Chrome 12, Opera 10) my PC starts becoming laggy, visually. Even the browser shows visible changes like the animation when opening a new tab, menu fade outs etc. Where does the problem lie? Is it because of running 32 bit browser on a 64 bit OS??? I do doubt that though...

Browsers in general eat up a lot of ram, especially when you have many tabs open. This happens on every browser and every OS (MAC, Ubuntu, etc.). I believe FF6 has a feature to minimize ram usage. Google for that, as I don't exactly recall. Having 24 GB of ram helps not to worry about things like these.
