Thank You

I know this is old, but I made an Account just to say thank you I would never have discovered that it was a desktop icon causing my problem.

Thanks Again,

Thank you very much. Finally I found the working solution after went crazy chasing another method, scanning malware, viruses bla bla bla..

Also registered just to say thank you Nothsa. This was incredibly frustrating, and I was getting no where until I found this thread. Turned out there was a couple PDFs on my desktop that were showing a black box instead of the icon. I deleted them and CPU use immediately dropped to zero. And my laptop was finally quiet again.

I hope this is the correct area to post this. My explorer.exe I noticed has been running at a higher usage rate than normal that last few days. I had recently installed Daemon tools lite, and it was suggested that it could be the problem, so I uninstalled that and ran the SPTDinst.exe and...

I've been getting this weird problem with my cpu usage. It jumps to around 30% and lags my computer when I type. I checked the task manager and it seems that explorer.exe is the culprit, I re-formatted my computer 2 times and I still have the same issue. I tried installing Windows Vista and the...
