    Set ram boot to maximize ram and now system won't boot


    Used a Shawn tutorial to make a boot change via msconfig to maximize ram and now system won't boot. How can I change it back??

    Which Tutorial?

    Did you try booting into safe mode (F8) to change it back?

    That's just it I can't find the the flipping tutorial and it's driving me crazy and I'm not getting to safe mode with hitting the F8 key.

    OK got into safe mode, let see what other damage I can cause.

    OK so the system is booting how can I check/confirm to see how much ram is being used?

    Resource Monitor...are you trying to limit the amount of RAM your computer will use? If not, UNCHECK, uncheck "Maximum Memory" from the dialog you was at earlier. UNCHECK. While you are at it, UNCHECK maximum processors ar well.
