    Laptop stopped reading usb


    Hi, my laptop suddenly stopped reading usb (any thing i connect through usb )
    and even bluetooth is not showing anywhere,
    Please help.

    have you checked the USB is available and drivers are upto date through the device manager? same goes for the bluetooth

    have you recently done anything major to the computer? new hardware, new usb device, dropped it?anything?

    Thanks for response, yaa I checked, all the drivers are up to date,
    only did few installations and uninstallations of softwares but.... I did dropped the laptop 2 days ago and I think this problem started after that only, after the impact laptop screen went like matrix, I restarted and display was correct but usb not working..

    can you actually see the USB serial controllers in the device manager? they are usually at the bottom?

    Yaa "UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS CONTROLLER' is there in device manager and I re checked, all the drivers are up to date..

    very strange. if the device manager can see them then they should be functioning. hate to say it but repair shop is the best way to go now, without seeing the unit in person its hard to diagnose

    OOOOOH .. ONE LAST INFO i WANT TO GIVE, IF THIS CAN HELP,
    when i connect a usb drive, the tiny light in it is constantly blinking.....
