That is because ReadyBoost, in conjunction with SuperFetch, is integral to the design of Windows 7. It is not solely for 'low RAM systems', although the effect on those systems may appear more beneficial. The MS engineers did some good work here.

I think you'll get slightly more performance out of multi-core compared to readyboost.

What's your hard drive assessment speed?
I'm curious to see what other people are getting for their WEI disk scores. I would like to see all types and combinations of drives to see how they differ in performance. If possible try to keep HDTach/HDTune/etc. scores to a minimum as there is another thread for that. Some general questions...

Slow Transfer Speed hard drive
i am trying to add some movies to my Hard Drive Seagate Barracuda ST31000520AS 1TB from my other hard drive but the Transfer speed is so slow it starts with 150mb and in 5 sec it will go down to 10mb it show it will take 1GB file for up to 20hours to copy what is going on i need a fix pls.
