Windows 7 home premium using 1.58 gb of ram

    i am running windows 7 home premium 64 bit

    Windows 7 home premium using 1.58 gb of ram


    I just opened my task manager and saw that my pc is using over 1.5gb ram.

    I was in task manager and saw nothing unusual everything uses small ammout of ram.

    What can cause this ? can you help me or suggest me what should i do. Thank you !

    Hello Icarus,

    This is normal, and no action is needed on your part. :)

    Windows 7 will load items into memory using superfetch that it thinks you may need to help improve performance. If it doesn't need it, or the RAM is needed for something else, then it automatically gets released so that you are able to use it.

    So i shouldt affear ? I was using 1.10Gb of ram and now magical it uses 500mb more...

    Nope, nothing to worry about. Windows 7 is designed to make use of the available RAM like this by default. Anytime anything is loaded into RAM, it will stay in RAM until something else needs it while Windows 7 is running. Unused RAM is wasted RAM.
