By any chance, do you have UAC turned off , or do you use Take Ownership context menu ?

Sometimes taking ownership cause some conflicts to run the utilities which are to run within the ownership of trusted installer .

If you run the "Remove takeownership.reg" , set your UAC to default, and try SFC /SCANNOW Command as per the method two, I hope there will be a difference in the result .

You are to bring the ownership back to trusted installer . So run remove takeownership to the areas you have taken ownership at first .

Idk if im doing it right, but i remember i used take ownership on windows folder so im taking ownership as trusted installer and selected "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" but i get this message "You do not have permission to read the contents of directory C:\Windows\CSC\v2.0.6. Do you want to replace the directory prmissions with permissions granting you Full Control ?

All permissions will be replaced if you press Yes.
" and then when i press yes "An error occured while applying security information to:

    C:\Windows\CSC\v2.0.6

    Acess is denied.
    "

    And some other like "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\eamonm.sys"

Should i continue and don't mind that i can't take ownership of those files ? ^^
