Sfc scannow problem
Hi i need your help again guys
![]() I run sfc /scannow and it stops at 7% i tried CHKDSK, doesn't help. I will attach sfc details log ? i wanned to use sfc scannow because i kept getting "there is a problem with this windows installer package. a program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor" when i tried to install a program. i tried everything and nothing helped so thats why im trying to run sfc scannow so that maybe it would fix that problem. Sorry for my bad english ![]() |

Hello blblr,
If you have not already, you might see if you may be able to run the sfc /scannow command at boot instead to see if will finish running. SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot Hope this helps, Shawn |

Double check to make sure that you have the Windows Modules Installer service is not disabled and is set to Manual.

I always follow the option two of the tutorial SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker , and type the commend as instructed there

Yep, be sure to use METHOD TWO in the tutorial using the diskpart command first. The Windows drive letter is not always C: at boot as it is while in Windows.
