Do you have any software creating a virtual drive for you, may be included in any CD burning software you have.

No, I know what you mean. I did put a Sony (old) walkman in a USB port to charge the battery. This may have nothing to do with the Phantom CD drive. I don't use the "virtual" drives that are available on some programs.
    thanks for answering.

    Re: Phantom CD drive.

I would like to add that I did use Ultra ISO...I downloaded an update for a DLink camera that was a .bin file..To be brief it was a fake (part of a movie!!). Anyway I tried to burn the image from the bin file (it could not open the file)and that may be were I have added a Phantom CD drive????

Mate your blood's worth bottling!! I uninstalled Ultra Iso and the phantom drive has gone! Gee, memory fades a bit at 80years! Need the occasional reminder from the younger, smarter gen (or new RAM chips)!!! Hope your'e not too cold in the UK, nearly summer here. Thanks and problem solved.

Your welcome, and no it's not that cold (yet) but it's enough to make me put the heating on from time to time.
