EXTREMELY High ping on Win7

    EXTREMELY High ping on Win7


    Hey fellas!
    I just installed Win7 on my pc and I experienced a really weird situation,my ping has been dramatically increased to 500+ from 20-25!Is there any way to solve this problem?

    No that is a problem. go here Ping-Probe (Essential Network Toolkit Suite), download ping-probe and run a traceroute to a know server (msn.com, or a game server you know). That will tell you where the high latency is occuring. You can then tell us where and we can try to figure it out. we could also use your network setup.

    Omg.. I found the root of the problem.You see when I run the test using Google Chrome my ping is 522ms,but when I run the test with Mozilla Firefox my ping is 26ms!!

    Oh of course! You know that everything you do with Chrome has to go through Googles servers first

    If you had run the trace route you would have seen fast ping times all the way to google, and then slow times.

    Trace route is built into windows.

    Start -> run -> cmd -> tracert
      My Computer
