I recently installed windows 7 32x on my laptop
dell studio 1555 which have 4 gb of ram and in computer summery it writes that there is 4 gb of ram and (2.9 is usable).
In prevoius threads i read that windows7 32x support 4gb of ram and i saw that in bios have option of memmory remmap that should repair these issue but in bios i don't have the this option.

what else i can do to fix that?
    .
The memory remapping feature is needed for the 64-bit OS not the 32-bit. The 32-bit OS can use a maximum of 4 gb, however that includes memory address space assigned to hardware such as the video card. When the OS reports that 2.9 gb is "usable" it means that it was necessary to set aside 1.1 gb for hardware. There may be an option in the BIOS to change the amount of memory dedicated to the video card. If so you can reduce it, which will increase the amount of reported "usable" memory.
