a batch file(1.27mb) i made to help clean up some space on my ssd, it freed 3 + gb for me, windows still working good, got the whole hd install down to 10.1gb minus hibernate & page-file, winsxs seems to be a driver cab of a sort plus some important stuff. if you use it, use also Empty Folder Nuker on the winsxs folder. tell me what yall think

Tell you what. Try running s system file check and let us know the results. I bet there are things missing.

Run a system file check to verify and repair your system files.
To do this type cmd in search, then right click to run as administrator, then
    SFC /SCANNOW

It may need to be run up to three times before sucessful

Read here for more information SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Let us know the results from the report at the end.

I got Windows 7 on my laptop down to less than 7GB with all my apps installed - and I didn't even touch winsxs except for the example media files.

Having had a quick look over your .bat file, I'm horrified. A few .png files I can understand, but .manifests? And tons of device drivers? You may think your system is running fine right now, but you will run into very unexpected trouble in the future.

Trust me. I've messed around with winsxs before (after taking a full backup image of my system) and learned quite a bit in the process. I ended up restoring the image back.

I may be OCD about trimming my setups, but winsxs is where I draw the line...
